Progress Report #1

Hello everyone!

I've posted a number of things on what is planned, but I wanted to give a quick update on what's done! As I'm participating on the #CrunchlessChallenge the goal is to get the game in a playable state by the end of the month!

For those who aren't aware, TierraMon is an audio game that is fully blind accessible that is a monster catching/battling game.

So far almost all work has been redoing the battle engine! I did a simpler version in the prototype, but it had to be redone to account for more features, and to add new mechanics!

1. The battle engine now has 40 different moves

2. Effect the 6 different stats

3. Switching to new monster upon defeat of one

4. Effects that last a single round.

5. Audio description of every move, will only tell you it the very first time you've ever seen the move!

6. Ability to check health and

7. Bonuses based on type of the user

8. Ability to capture new monsters!

9. Verbally describes your enemy and their type.

10. Saves

Features left to add to the battle engine!

1.  Receiving rewards for winning a battle

2. Reporting level of enemy monster

As well as that, story has been written and I have most mechanics planned out! Basic movement is also working.

So overall progress has been great!

I hope to finish the first pass of the battle engine in the next day or so, then get the full basics of the movement! That should be a much simpler task. Then once that is done, I can do the first pass at the story.
