The TierraMon rangers in the lore!

Hello everyone!

As I hope has become obvious at this point, I have a lot of lore planned out for TierraMon, and once the game is out I hope you all get to enjoy it, but I wanted to talk a little bit about what the Rangers are to this world!

The TierraMon Rangers are the adventurers of this world. Tierra is nearly a utopia thanks to their use of technology created using TierraShards, but only a few decades ago the various governments realized that if population keeps growing, they would run out of shards. 

They used great machines to drill into the ground looking for a new source of the most valuable resource the humans know of, and that's where they found TierraMon. Creatures that when destroyed produce large amounts of TierraShards. But that meant they needed to find people willing to go down there, destroy them, collect the shards, then come back.

In such a kind world, the amount of people volunteering to go into dark, damp, and cramped caves to help maintain the quality of life of the surface above were... not high. So things had to change, and quickly!

So they began what we would call "propaganda" campaigns, but what they called "Awareness campaigns" on how amazing it is to be a TierraMon ranger! Endless books, plays, songs, and poems were written about the adventures and amazing experiences one would have if they became a TierraRanger! 

Coming of age novels about young people finding themselves in the tunnels below, stories of older folks finding purpose after a life of luxury, countless love stories of people finding love in the ranks of the Rangers, terrible Horrors where a brave Ranger saves the day! Songs about people who fell in love with a Ranger, so became a ranger to be with them, and have never regretted the decision once in their life! Short publications were released about the latest on goings about the most popular Rangers as well.

 Recently they even started the Junior Tierra Rangers, where children learn about the different types of TierraMon and focus on becoming physically fit enough to walk the endless tunnels like the Rangers.

On top of that, they were not above bribery! While everyone had access to a great life, they made sure that whenever a TierraMon ranger was on the surface, they were pampered beyond reason, and everyone could see it. Spas and hotels of the highest opulence were constructed and reserved for Rangers, where endless concerts, parties, and fans would always be present. If they could imagine a reward they could offer to get more Rangers to join, they have considered offering it.

So in short, as a Ranger you become a folk hero doing one of the most important jobs in the world. You are joining the ranks of people who have endless books, songs, plays, and poems about them. Some even have hordes of fans who live for more stories about them. So don't be surprised if any come out about you!
