Let's talk about Titans

TierraMon are where there are large amounts of Tierra Shards in one place, and natural forces cause them to animate. They then wander the tunnels of Tierra looking for more Shards, to become more powerful.

But the question is, what is their ultimate goal?

Humans don't know exactly what causes a TierraMon to become a Titan, it's assumed that it takes thousands of years for one to happen. But they are terrifying forces of nature. They not only are powerful beyond the limits of all other TierraMon, but they have unique personalities. Where TierraMon will just wander looking for more sources of Tierra, Titans will have strange other worldly goals.

Some just enjoy tunneling. Using their massive strength to create vast tunnels. Some enforce random rules on all those in their realm of influence. While others still seem to live for the hunt of destroying the lesser TierraMon. While others make themselves a lair and sit. 

So how do the rangers deal with these powerful forces? 

Well first off, they are never to engage the Titans directly. Not only would it be utterly futile, but whenever Titans battle it endangers the tunnel systems. 

They are to monitor the Titans. There are a number of Titans that could greatly endanger humans if they approached the tunnels the Rangers used. So they carefully monitor and catalogue all Titans. 

They will draw Titans away as necessary. By carefully monitoring the Titans they will do their best to learn how to draw Titans away if the Titans ever come close to endangering humans. This can be as simple as laying down a line of Tierra Shards in a line away, or as difficult as carving brand new tunnels that the Titans want to explore and filling it with TierraMon for them to hunt.

Hunt Proto Titans. Humans don't know for sure if what they call Proto Titans turn into Titans. But TierraMon get the title of Proto Titans when they stop following the rules of TierraMon. Incredibly powerful TierraMon will sometimes begin to change physically, and pick up weird habits. They are still far in power from true Titans, but the fear is Proto Titans given enough time will become Titans. So the Rangers will take on grand campaigns to destroy them, hoping it will keep the number of dangerous Titans down.
