It's the blood moon! Time to take over the world... or it would be if every other half baked necromancer and vampire wasn't trying the same thing.
Capture buildings and locations full of bits and bobs you can use to build your army, and conquer all!
Made in 1 months for the "Games for Blind Gamers" game jam! So should be fully blind accessible.
Gameplay
Necromancer nonsense is a Real Time Strategy game focused on buildings and not individual units, similar to "Cell" games made during the flash era.
Instead of telling units what to do, you tell your controlled locations to send all of its forces to go to another location, either in attack or defense.
Different buildings produce different units and have different production speeds, some have special powers!
If it's hard to imagine, it's real time Risk. You tell your armies to move from one region to another, to capture a region you have to defeat all forces there, or you can reinforce another one.
The more you control, the faster troops are produced. But be mindful not to overextend!
Accessibility features
The game was designed to be as accessible as possible, so has the following features.
Full screen reader support is built in across the game
Sound Library menu that explains the purpose of all audio in game, and allows boosting or lowering any individual sound.
Keyboard only controls that are remappable
Press the 1 key to enable color blind mode
Ability to slow down and speed up game play
Ability to pause game but continue giving orders
All important events during a level are recorded if something is missed
Controls
Arrow keys/WASD to move pointer around the grid
Space/Enter to pick options
Escape in menus returns you title screen.
In game, escape closes any submenus/lists, which may result in an unpause. If pressed and no submenu is open, it pulls open the "quit level" submenu.
1 enables color blind mode, adding shapes around buildings based on owner.
Remappable controls
Listed is default key, all can be remapped in game
Pause - Backspace, allows movement, examining, and giving orders while paused.
Open event list: Z, pause game, whenever a notification sound sound is played g, details are added to this list.
View location history: C, pauses game, gives information on everything happened to inspected location along with seconds since it happened.
Jump to endangered: X, jumps to next threatened building. If not moving it may have taken you to last endangered, so pressing again takes to first.

Lower game speed: Left bracket
Increase game speed: Right bracket
Mechanics
Move around map to inspect strategic locations on the grid using arrows or WASD.
Press select (space/enter) on one you control to enter command mode. Pressing select to tells units to Defend (which gives different buildings different boosts and keeps your newly created units home), or press a direction to order all troops to start going that way until a new order is given.
Buildings either get an increase to production speed or activate a special ability in wait mode. More monsters can not be created past a certain threshold, so you will get an alert when that threshold is reached.
When an important event happens a voice over will play announcing it. If a sound plays during the voice over, it means another event happened while voice over was happening, so that event has been sent to event list.
Capture a building by having your units kill all enemy units and reduce building HP to 0. After a building is newly captured, its max HP will rise to full quickly. HP lost from battle takes longer to recover.
Win by taking all buildings from the enemy.
An SFX will play if a unit sent from the building you are examining meets enemy units in the field before reaching the destination.
A noise will play if the building you are examining is hit by an enemy troops.
Troop types
Graveyard spawns Zombies, good at defending, bad at attacking
Boneyard spawns skeletons, bad at defending, good at attacking
Cauldrons will slowly spawn Flesh Golems. Sending zombies creates a flesh golem much faster faster. Strong in attack and defense.
Village spawn rate increases dramatically as more vampires hang around the village. Medium attackers and defenders.
Mummies left in their pyramids buff the creation rate and healing rate of all owned buildings. Strong fighters as well.
